Youth Mentoring & Community Engagement

At BeaconRise, we believe every young person deserves guidance, encouragement, and meaningful connection within their community whether they are accessing the NDIS or receiving private support.

Our Youth Mentoring & Community Engagement programs are designed to help young people grow with confidence, build positive relationships, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Who we support

BeaconRise provides high-level, social worker-led support for young people across a range of settings. We proudly welcome referrals from:

  • Department for Child Protection (DCP): Specialist mentoring and trauma-informed support for children and youth in care.
  • Schools & Educational Institutions: Partnering with educators to support student engagement, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.
  • Community Organisations: Collaborative programs for local groups seeking professional youth connection and mentoring.
  • Private & Self-Referrals: Direct support for families seeking expert, social work-led guidance for their children.

Our clinical background ensures that every referral, regardless of the funding source, is met with professional oversight and purposeful care.

Comprehensive Mentoring Services

Our mentoring is flexible, strength-based, and tailored to each participant’s goals

We support participants to explore new interests, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful activities in the community. Immerse yourself in activities you love, from art and cooking to sports, hiking, and community events. With your mentor by your side, you’ll feel supported and ready to participate with confidence.

Helping participants explore who they are, what they want, and where they want to go. We support individuals to identify strengths, build self‑belief, and create a clear sense of purpose.

Practical mentoring to build everyday communication skills, assertiveness, and self‑advocacy. We help participants feel confident speaking up, connecting with others, and navigating social situations.

Support for planning, organisation, time management, and task follow‑through. Ideal for participants who benefit from structure, routine, and step‑by‑step guidance.

A gentle, graded approach to building confidence in community settings. We support participants to engage socially, try new activities, and feel safe and supported in public spaces.

Participants choose a meaningful project — and we guide them through it. This builds problem‑solving, decision‑making, independence, and confidence through hands‑on learning.

Mentoring to build positive daily habits, including routines, sleep, meal planning, and stress‑management. We focus on small, achievable steps that create long‑term change.

Supporting participants to understand their rights, communicate their needs, and take an active role in their NDIS journey.

A structured mentoring pathway that builds skills for independent living, home management, and confident decision‑making.
